Astraea is a non-profit organization that focuses on developing civil society in Northern Eurasia.
Mission
Astraea works to advance the rule of law culture in the region by providing support and resources to organizations that promote democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Astraea believes that a strong civil society is essential for the growth and development of democratic societies, and works to empower individuals and communities to take an active role in shaping their own futures. Astraea is committed to working in partnership with local organizations to support their efforts to bring about positive change in their communities.
Vision
Astraea's vision is to create a world where individuals and communities in Russia and other post-Soviet countries are empowered to shape their own futures and live in societies that are based on the rule of law, respect for human rights, and democratic values. Astraea believes that by supporting the growth and development of civil society in the region, it can help to create the conditions for individuals to thrive and for societies to become more just and equitable. Astraea is committed to working in partnership with local organizations and communities to achieve this vision and to bring about positive change in the region.
